The Mary Poppinz nursery offers childcare for your little ones from the age of 3 months. From the age of 4, your children have the opportunity to attend our kindergarden.
Our goal is to provide you with maximum flexibility. We understand from our own experience how challenging it can be to balance work and childcare. That’s why we have extended opening hours and are there for you practically all year round.
Growing together, leading by example instead of just educating, and putting all our energy and dedication into the development of children – that’s how we work.
In order to cater to the individual interests, competencies, developmental needs and (pre-linguistic) forms of communication of each child, we intentionally keep our groups small. Typically, there are 2-3 «Marys» for a maximum of 8 children.
Excursions, as well as morning and evening activities, are conducted with mixed-age groups. This way, children learn to be considerate of each other and younger children can learn from the older ones.
Our open and bright rooms are located in the new Leuengarten neighborhood. They allow the children to pursue their thirst for knowledge and give them plenty of space to explore.
We nurture individual interests and the children’s independence through features such as a book corner, a building and construction area, musical instruments, our spacious children’s kitchen, and much more.
For the baby group, the space has been tailored to suit their age, ensuring that they find themselves always in a safe and comfortable environment.
We place great importance on providing individual, loving care and tailor our approach to the personality and stage of development of each child. This way, we help unlock the full potential of every child.
Diverse outdoor experiences in the surrounding nature are as integral to our daycare routine as free play, crafting, exploring books and singing. For play and creative activities, we use as many natural materials as possible, such as wood, paper, stone, water, clay, and eco-friendly paints.
In our creative room, children are encouraged to freely paint, draw, create and explore as they like.
Our «Marys» and the first children to arrive are looking forward to the day ahead.
There’s a varied breakfast with e.g. fruits, raw vegetables, scrambled eggs, homemade bread, cheese, muesli, and more.
All employees and children arrive at the nursery.
Now all children sit in a circle and begin the morning ritual: getting in the mood for the day, singing songs and discussing the day’s schedule.
The daily program begins. The «Marys» and the children engage in playing, making music, dancing, constructing, exploring, experimenting, jumping, and crafting.
The joint lunch is an important fixed point in the daily program. The children are spoiled with home-cooked and balanced meals. There is eating, chatting and laughing until everyone is full and satisfied.
It’s time for lunch break. After brushing their teeth, the children, tired from the morning, lie down in their beds and dream of their adventures. Some children also just relax by engaging in a quiet activity, such as looking at a picture book in the book corner.
If the children haven’t been outside in the morning, they now head to the nearby playgrounds, the forest, or explore the surrounding area. Additionally, larger day trips are organized monthly, rain or shine.
As a reward we serve a fresh Zvieri (a snack at about 4 pm).
Until the parents come to pick up their children, they are engaged in free play. The staff take the time to interact with the parents and share how the day has been.
The children say their goodbyes and look forward to the next day.
